• We believe companies should strive to make production processes more transparent by revealing the places where the garments are produced and the processes they undergo.

Innovating the sector

Fashion is among the most polluting sectors, second only to the oil industry.

Most of the clothing is made of petroleum derivatives or plastic fibers and the fabrics are colored with chemicals and carcinogens, dangerous for the skin and the environment.

Thuja believes that a garment is not just a fashionable item, sold at low cost, in large quantities. For us, creating a garment means designing it in relation to the resources that Nature offers, through an innovative process that incorporates an artisan attitude and where Nature and technology are not mutually exclusive.

Thuja garments are made exclusively of organic cotton, handcrafted in Italy, and have a "passport", where all the places and production processes are traced. Through the QR code placed on the maintenance label or on our website on the product page it is possible to have all the information regarding materials, production, dyeing and shipping.

If a sartup succeeds, we are sure that even the big brands can be so transparent ...

Something has to change

Thuja wants to change the standards of the fashion industry in Italy, introducing sustainable alternatives produced ethically and at an affordable price.

We believe that companies should strive to make production processes more transparent by revealing the places where the garments are produced and the processes that are used.

Here are some more specific points that our project wants to change.

Made in Italy for real

Revision of Law no. 55 of 2010 concerning the made in Italy. The law provides that, in the identified sectors, products for which the processing phases have taken place mainly on the Italian territory and, in particular, if at least two processing phases have taken place in Italy, can boast of the "Made in Italy". On the contrary, our goal is to ensure that a garment, so that it is labeled Made in Italy, is 100% produced in Italy.

Productive passport

Implementation of the passport with tracking of production processes for each item sold as sustainable or ecological.

Mandatory certifications

Introduction of mandatory certifications that prove the production processes of companies and their garments if they use the Made in Italy label or sell the garments as sustainable.

Fair work

Better working environments with fair wages and without discrimination, greater safety at work and protection of the cultural heritage of Italian craftsmanship.

Encourage the sustainable

Advantages for those who produce in a sustainable way while safeguarding the planet.

Introduction of the “Sustainably Made in Italy” label, for garments 100% produced in Italy with sustainable methods.

The question of the price

Thanks to our approach we are able to eliminate all intermediaries and focus all our attention on the creation of superior quality products.

The main brands in our sector increase the price of their products by 6 to 8 compared to the real cost. Our products are made with the same premium materials and authentic craftsmanship as other luxury brands, but without the traditional mark-ups.
