• The fashion industry needs a change. Thuja combines the quality of organic cotton with the innovation of natural dyes to create sustainable garments that respect your skin and the Planet.

The colors of nature

  • The problem

The industrial dyeing process is one of the most polluting and has a high environmental footprint. The three main problems concern the use of chemicals, the use of non-renewable energy and the consumption of large volumes of water.

  • Our Solution

The vegetable and mineral dyes come from renewable sources that can be replenished in a responsible way and are fixed through auxiliaries of natural origin, non-toxic for the skin and for the Planet.

  • Madder Purple

Madder is one of the best known among perennials for coloring fabrics in a natural way. The name "madder of the dyers" is due to the color called "adrianople red" obtained from its roots.

  • Pomegranate Gray

The pomegranate is a berry with a very robust consistency, with a very hard skin from which colors ranging from gray to ocher yellow are obtained, a shade of yellow typically used in Arab tapestries.

  • Onion Yellow

The onion is the bulb of a herbaceous plant native to western Asia. The color, which is obtained from the external tunics, varies from yellow-brown to red.

  • Red Herculaneum

Rosso Ercolano is a very ancient natural land, whose origins date back to Roman times. Used in the murals of Pompeii, it is also known as "Pompeian red".

  • Brentonico Green

It is a land coming from the Verona area and like other green lands, it was used above all during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance where it was reserved for the nobles.

  • Natural

The natural color of the cotton fabric is a white tending to beige, not the classic optical white obtained by chemical processes.

Thuja was born under the banner of innovation and sustainability, from the need for a change in the face of the disfigurement of the environment, social discrimination and the disappearance of the true "Made in Italy".
